14 Hong Kong pro-democracy leaders convicted of sedition, sentenced to life in prison

Kathmandu. A Hong Kong court has convicted fourteen democratic activists. According to the Chinese law, they were sentenced to life imprisonment, according to the news agency Reuters.

Fourteen people, including former MP Le Ung Kwok Hong, Lam Cheuk Ting, Helena Wong and Raymond Chan, have been convicted. A three-member bench formed by the government held them guilty for anti-government activities. The court has acquitted two others.
