Kathmandu. In May 2024, 90,000 foreign tourists have entered. According to the data released by the Nepal Tourism Board today, a total of 90,211 foreign tourists visited Nepal in May.
Compared to 2023, the tourist arrival has increased by 16.10 percent. In May 2023, 77 thousand seven hundred three foreign tourists came to Nepal. Before the covid-19 epidemic, 78 thousand 300 foreign tourists visited Nepal.
Maniraj Lamichhane, Director of the Board, said that the arrival of foreign tourists is encouraging. He said, “On the whole, the arrival of tourists seems to be encouraging.” Although a large number of tourists have entered from India and America, tourists from China have not increased as expected.
As in the previous months, this time too, 38,288 tourists have entered Nepal from the neighboring country India. During the same period, 8,381 tourists from another neighboring country, China, came to Nepal. 8,527 tourists have entered Nepal from the United States.
