Starlight

A Poem Composed by Poet John Drudge of Canada

I’ve chirped

And chattered

On the wind

To no one

I’ve weathered

All the tempests

In all the tea pots

I’ve been poured from

Into nothing

I’ve endured

All the deserts

God can design

And now I walk here

Along the shore

By the water

With the mutts

And the mongrels

Looking for a flicker

Of something more

In the aging

Starlight
