Riyadh. Saudi Arabia’s state-run TV channel has aired a video of the Imam of the Haram Sharif in the holy city of Mecca for Muslims. In this video, the imam leading the prayers can be heard praying for the safety of the Palestinians.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia’s official TV channel Al Ikhbariya shared the video on its Twitter. In this video clip, the imam also prays for the salvation of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Al-Aqsa Mosque, located in East Jerusalem, is the holiest place of worship for Muslims after Mecca and Medina. The imam’s voice can be heard filled with pain as he prays for the Muslims of Palestine. After this they are saying that Allah should give the status of martyrs to those who were killed.
Before the latest conflict between Israel and Hamas, relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel were on the way to normal. After this attack, the authorities started a diplomatic initiative to stop the conflict. Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has held talks with several regional powers since the conflict.
