At least 25 Palestinians were killed and several others injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting a school in the southern Gaza Strip town of Khan Yunis, Palestinian sources said.
Israeli aircraft used missiles to attack the gate of al-Awda school, where hundreds of displaced people live in the city of Absan al-Kabeera, east of Khan Younis. Medical sources said at least 25 people, including women and children, were killed and dozens injured in the Israeli airstrikes.
The number of victims may increase due to overcrowding in the area. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said that the Israeli Air Force attacked a terrorist from the military wing of Hamas using weapons. Agency
