Basant Chaudhary released ‘Ahana’, a collection of children’s poetry, on the birthday of his granddaughter Ahana

Kathmandu: Famous poet and lyricist Basant Chaudhary released ‘Ahana’, a collection of children’s poetry, on the birthday of his granddaughter Ahana Shakya (Chaudhary). The poetry book written by Chaudhary was released amid a ceremony organised at the auditorium of Premier International School in Khumaltar, Lalitpur, on Sunday.

This is Chaudhary’s first collection of children’s poems published in his literary life. Before this, more than 20 collections of his poems and lyrics have been published. He has also composed a dozen of popular Nepali songs.

Chaudhary, his daughter Megha Chaudhary, granddaughter Ahana, son-in-law Paras Shakya and children launched the collection of children’s poetry ‘Ahana’.

Chaudhary’s ‘Ahana’ published by Kopila Kitab in a colourful style with attractive decorations, contains 56 children’s poems. The poetry book is available in both Nepali and English. Each poem is accompanied by attractive illustrations prepared by artist Bhanu Bhattarai.
