Bonds of Love and Frozen Love
Two Poems by Ranjit K. Sahu
Shall I withhold the passions?
That erupts in the darkness of the night,
The thoughts that kindle my dreams
That soar and take a fancy flight
Fantasies woven with remembrance
Of a bygone time together…
Sprinkled like the shells in the sea shore
To softly pick them and gather
Time makes lovers out of strangers
And time makes love seem strange
But it shall be the way to go
Whether a meet we arrange or not arrange
Less shall be more if told
In the world of love silence is joy
Each touch of yours spoke a million things to me
And those memories are forever mine to enjoy.
Frozen love
Frozen in the shadows of the boulders
A layer of ice survives
The warmth of the spring and promises
It will beat the summer and autumn too!
High up the in the mountains
Where the breeze is chilled
And hard bones freeze
The ice stays stubborn and resilient
To the changes that happens around
Much like your cryptic love
Shadowed by cold gazes and indifferent gestures
Negating my warm approaches
They staying rock solid where they are
Their clarities and colors are amazing;
Love manifested in the physical world
Cannot be more sacred than this!
Yet it never melts and trickle down
The road of expressions and expectations
And it seems I shall for eternity
Wait and wait in anticipation..
The hope and dreams are fabulous
Someday this will flow as a clear spring
And quench the thirst of a desperate soul
Maybe in winter or summer, autumn or spring!
