Britain’s King Charles begins treatment for cancer

Kathmandu. Britain’s King Charles III has been diagnosed with cancer. Buckingham Palace has informed that King Charles has a type of cancer and will be away from public duties for treatment.
After the death of Queen Elizabeth in September 2022, seventy-five-year-old Charles became the King of Britain. The  palace said that his treatment has already started and expressed confidence that he will return to his duties soon. King Charles was diagnosed with cancer during prostate surgery on January 26. But the palace said that he did not have prostate cancer.
King Charles appeared for the first time last Sunday with his wife Camila for prayers in the church after the prostate treatment.
His younger son Harry, who is living in the US, is going to visit his father in the UK. British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak also wished the King a speedy recovery and hoped that he would return to his duties soon. The governments of Australia and Canada, where Charles is the head of state, have also wished him a speedy recovery.
US President Joe Biden said that the news of Charles’ cancer has worried him and wished him good health.
