British Ambassador celebrates his wedding anniversary in Janakpurdham

Janakpurdham. As he moves forward with the goal of developing Janakpurdham as a wedding destination, British Ambassador to Nepal Rob Fenn celebrated his 22nd wedding anniversary at the Janaki Temple today.

British Ambassador Fenn and his wife Julia Fenn wore a flower garland and a peacock headpiece worn by the groom during a wedding in Mithila. Fen also celebrated the anniversary by wearing a ring to Julia. He said that he also came to Janakpur to celebrate the wedding anniversary and was very happy because it is believed that Lord Ramjanaki got married on this holy land in Treta Yuga.
British Ambassador to Nepal Fenn’s wife Julia also wore a red saree and chunari in Mithila. The bridegroom and the bride tied their knots and they visited the Janaki temple with Mahant Ramroshan Das, the assistant of the Janaki temple, as a witness. Last year, the special function was able to visit various famous places of Madhesh including Janakpurdham and it was at that time that Fen decided to celebrate this marriage anniversary in Janakpur city. On the occasion of the anniversary, Speaker of Madhesh Province Ramchandra Mandal, Minister of Madhesh Province Government Rani Sharma Tiwari and Janakpurdham Metropolitan Municipality Chief Manoj Kumar Sah congratulated the British ambassador couple.
