California’s ‘The Park Fire’: Spreading at a rate of 20 square kilometers per hour

California, The wildfire spreading in different parts of Northern California is spreading at a rate of 20 square kilometers per hour. It is suspected that someone deliberately started ‘The Park Fire’ which started from Wednesday. A 42-year-old man was arrested Thursday on charges of starting a fire by throwing a burning car into Alligator Hole in Butte County.

It is said that the fire has destroyed 348,000 areas in the northeast of Chico. The state fire agency Kal Fire has informed that the fire could not be brought under control till Saturday. About 2,500 firefighters are battling the blaze. However, due to the steep terrain and strong winds, they are having trouble controlling it.

This year it is the biggest fire in the state. In 2018, more than 80 people died due to wildfires in this region.
