Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau resigns

Kathmandu. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has announced his resignation from office. However, Trudeau will continue to lead the government until a new leader is elected from the Liberal Party. At a press conference, Trudeau said that he was resigning as party leader and would hand over power once another leader was elected. Announcing his resignation, he called himself a warrior. He said, “It is an honor for me to serve every day as prime minister. We served during a pandemic. We worked for a strong democracy. You all know I am a warrior.” He said that since becoming prime minister in 2015, he has worked for the welfare of Canada and to uplift the middle class.
However, there is interest in why he resigned. Experts say that Trudeau’s popularity was declining. That is why the Liberal Party leaders were pressuring him to resign. That is why he resigned, the BBC reported. Elections are being held in Canada in October 2025.
