Chinese investors met with the Minister of Industries Damodar Bhandari

Kathmandu – Chinese investors met today with the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Supply, Damodar Bhandari.In the meeting at the ministry, Minister Bhandari asked Chinese investors to open industries and businesses in Nepal as there is an investment-friendly environment. Minister Bhandari said, “You should invest, the government is ready to create an environment for investment, we have removed some legal complications, if there are any problems again, the government will create an easy environment.”

He said that the government is eager to bring in Chinese capital and technology with a team of Chinese industrialists and businessmen who came with the enthusiasm to invest in Nepal.

“You have come to Nepal with the intention of investing. I warmly welcome you with thanks on behalf of the government. Bring your proposal and we will discuss it. We will arrange a favorable environment. Invest with confidence, you will get good returns.”

Mentioning that the environment of foreign investment in Nepal is improving, Minister Bhandari believed that the relationship between Nepal and China will reach further heights. He said, “You have come with the intention of investing, it has also excited us, it makes us even more excited when the investment comes in, we are waiting for investment soon.”

Meanwhile, Secretary of Commerce Dinesh Kumar Ghimire expressed his happiness with the Chinese team that they came with the intention of investing in Nepal while mentioning that Nepal and China have a trade relationship since centuries.

He said, “The government has been reforming policies for investment in Nepal, there is a lot of potential for investment in mining, energy, tourism and other sectors in Nepal, the potential for investment is assured.” The Chinese team was attended by Chinese industrialists and businessmen from agriculture, energy, tourism, mining, and construction companies.
