Daffodils Glory
A Poem Composed by Ranjit K. Sahu
Dazzling in the breezy warm spring sunshine
Adding their song to the voice of Mother Earth
Filling the yards and the lands, riverine
Flaunting their hues and shapes with their quick birth
Over the vernal days, they bid their time
Demanding that their moves be kept secret
In their unique style, their rhythm and their rhyme
Let out their beauty as hatch the eaglets
Sing their praise or ignore them is your choice
Gladly they shall shake their heads in the breeze
Little do they care for kudos or noise
Over weeks that they dance on earth with ease
Raise up your love for these soft beauties
Your bond with earth is among your duties.
