His journey from Dang to becoming a prominent figure in Nepal began with his high school education at Tulsi English School in 2070 BS. However, the pivotal moment arrived when he received a scholarship from the Russian government in September 2014 to pursue an MD course in the Pavlov First Saint Petersburg State Medical University located in St. Petersburg, Russia. This milestone that not only shaped his academic path but also provided a platform to represent Nepal during his seven-year stay in Russia. Besides excelling in his studies, Dr. Lamsal took it upon himself to showcase Nepali culture, traditions, and tourism to the international community through discussions, seminars, and cultural events, championing the essence of his homeland.
While in pursuit of education, Dr. Lamsal didn’t confine himself to academics alone. He diversified his interests, achieving remarkable feats in sports by obtaining the 1 Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo from Korea in 2014 and progressing to the 2 Dan Black Belt in 2018. Simultaneously, his impactful presence on various social media platforms became instrumental in raising awareness about crucial societal issues like discrimination, gender inequality, injustice, and intolerance. Dr Sandesh Lamsal has earned the title of the first doctor to cross 1 million followers on Instagram. He has also been verified on various mainstream social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Moj, Josh, etc. where he shares diverse content every day.

Dr. Lamsal’s dedication and contributions in society, and medical and social media field haven’t gone unnoticed, earning him accolades from national figures, including Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Minister of Information and Communication Rekha Sharma, former Chairman of the National Assembly Onsari Gharti Magar, former member of the House of Representatives Komal Oli, and former Foreign Minister Ram Sharan Mahat.

Despite obtaining education abroad, Dr. Lamsal’s heart remains devoted to his birthplace. He currently serves as a medical doctor at Rapti Provincial Hospital in Tulsipur, Dang, finding profound fulfillment in providing healthcare services to the people of his hometown.
