Embassy of Nepal in association with the Thai Travel Agents Association (TTAA) and Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) organized a presentation and interaction program on tourism promotion

Kathmandu: The Embassy of Nepal in association with the Thai Travel Agents Association (TTAA) and Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) organized a presentation and interaction program on tourism promotion in hybrid modality at the 1TAA Meeting Hall today. The Program aimed to update the participants about the situation of COVID-19 and opening up of Nepal for international travellers as well as operationalization of Gautam Buddha International Airport. While addressing the program, H. E. Mr. Ganesh Prasad Dhaka!, Ambassador of Nepal to the Kingdom of Thailand informed the participants about Nepal’s opening up for international travellers and welcoming of visitors from around the world. He urged the participants to encourage Thai travellers to visit Nepal and enjoy lifetime experiences of nature, culture, and adventure. He also stressed the need to establish direct air-connectivity between Bangkok and Bhairahawa for the promotion of cultural tourism between Nepal and Thailand.
In her remarks, Ms. Nandini Lahe Thapa, Senior Director of the Nepal Tourism Board informed the participants about Nepal’s preparedness to welcome international visitors including from Thailand. She also expressed her view to work together with Thai travel agents and operators for promotion of tourism for mutual benefits. Officiating Director of Nepal Tourism Board Mr. Laxman Gautam.made a comprehensive presentation. Mr. Vitidnan Rojanapanich. the First Thai summiteer of Sagannatha also made presentation with sharing of experiences on his recent visit to Nepal. More than sixty travel agents and tour operators working for Nepal participated in-person and online in the Programme. The TTAA is an apex body of outbound travel agents and tour operators in Thailand. Packages of Nepali tea and coffee were distributed as souvenirs and Nepali popular snack MoMo was served 406 pants at the end of Programme.
