EU Allocates Nearly 2 Bln Euros to Boost Defense Industry

 

Kathmandu. The European Commission has announced an investment of 500 million euros (about 544 million US dollars) to increase ammunition production as part of support for the European defense industry.

The Commission has planned 31 projects in five areas to support the European industry in increasing its production and preparation of ammunition. Which includes explosives, powder, shells, missiles and testing and reconditioning certification.

The Commission has launched a program to strengthen equipment for the European defense industry through shared purchasing and the Fourth Annual Program of the European Defense Fund.
