Kathmandu. More than 290,000 people of more than 50,000 households in Myanmar have been displaced. Since the end of June of this year, the number of displaced persons has been displaced due to the floods that have hit the country.
Myanmar is at risk of flooding in its 10 regions and states, mainly due to heavy rainfall and rising river levels. A total of 656 relief centers have been opened for the flood victims of these regions and states. Food, drinking water and relief supplies have also been arranged for them.
According to the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology of the country, the water level of major rivers in some cities of Keene state, Ayeyarwady and Bago region are above the warning level.
