Kathmandu. Hamas has not agreed to the release of hostages during the Israel-Hamas war. Negotiations are underway for the release of the hostages. Qatar, Egypt and the US are also involved in the talks.
Recently, Qatar, which was involved in the negotiations, announced that Hamas had agreed to the agreement to release the hostages. But the Lebanese media house said that Hamas has not yet commented on the agreement.
Hamas has not yet given any consent, according to Palestinian sources. The Israeli media has also published this news through the Lebanese media.
According to Lebanese media, Qatar’s statement was made hastily and incorrectly. So far, the leadership of Hamas has not made any decision about the agreement.
Lebanese media reports claim that the Israeli media deliberately spread the word about the finalization of the deal in order to keep the families of the hostages, who are pressuring the government, quiet.
But Hamas has not accepted anything about it. Majid Al Ansari, spokesman for Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, recently issued a statement saying that Israel has approved the agreement. He claimed that there was an initial positive response even from Hamas.
Hamas has accused Israel of leaking the news. “After all the preparations are completed, we will respond to the agreement, but so far we have not finalized anything, nor has there been any agreement,” news agencies quoted Hamas as saying.
Earlier in November, during the cease-fire between Israel and Hamas, Hamas released 105 hostages. Among them were 81 Israelis, 23 Thai citizens and one Filipino. More than 130 people are still being held by Hamas. Agency
