The International Cricket Council (ICC) today unveiled the mascots for the upcoming ODI World Cup at an event in Gurugram. According to the ICC, the unnamed male and female mascots represent distinct traits that stand as symbols of both gender equality and diversity.
ICC Head of Events Chris Tetley said that in keeping with the ICC’s and cricket’s objective of connecting with the next generation of cricket fans, these mascots have the ability to engage and delight children, developing a lifelong love for the sport beyond ICC events.
