‘Ice Sculpture Festival’ begins on Olkhan Island in Russia

Agency, Russia’s Olkhan Island ‘Ice Sculpture Festival’ has started. Thirteen artists from Russia, Mongolia and France have showcased their talent in the international ice sculpture competition with the theme ‘The Mystery of Lake Baikal’.
The ice sculptures, representing mermaids, dragons, eagles and characters from Baryat folk tales, are one kilometer long ice surface and spread over an area of about 250,000 square meters. Visitors were keen to walk around the frozen lake. The festival will continue till March 8.
