India Win 4th Test Against England, Secure Series 3-1

Ranchi: India registered a thumping 5-wicket victory over England on the 4th day of the fourth Test at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi. With this victory, India now takes an unassailable 3-1 lead over the visitors in the five-match Test series.

India continued their domination in home Tests as they extended their record unbeaten streak at home to 17-0. England were the last team to beat India in a Test series at home, clinching a 2-1 win in 2012. Since then India has won 17 Test series in a row at home – a record for most consecutive Test series wins at home. The second best is 10 for Australia who managed the feat between 1994 and 2000.

The victory in the fourth Test helped India take an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match series with the last match to take place in Dharamsala from 7 March.

Overall, since the 2012 Test series against England, India has won a total of 39 out of 51 Tests, losing just four times – two times each to Australia and England.
