Indian Embassy in Nepal gifted 75 ambulances to various organizations and 17 buses to various schools

Kathmandu: The Indian Embassy in Nepal gifted 75 ambulances to various organizations and 17 buses to various schools in the presence of Minister for Education, Science and Technology Devendra Poudel on Sunday. The keys were handed over by Ambassador Naveen Srivastava in the presence of Mr. Devendra Paudel,  Minister, Ministry of Education, Science & Technology.

Ambassador Srivastava highlighted that gifting of ambulances and school buses is part of a very robust & long standing partnership between India  and Nepal. Minister Poudel appreciated Government of India for its ongoing developmental projects in Nepal and highlighted that these will further strengthen P2P linkages between India and Nepal.

The gifting of 75 ambulances also marks 75 years of India’s Independence, the Indian Embassy here said. “The gifting of ambulances and school buses is part of the very robust and strong development partnership between the two countries,” Srivastava said.

This initiative has been one of the long-standing traditions of the Indian government under the Nepal-India Development Partnership Programme to bolster efforts of the Nepal government to strengthen its infrastructure in health and education, he added.
