Israel-Gaza Conflict Shows US ‘Failure’ In Middle East: Putin

Moscow. Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that the Israel-Gaza conflict has shown the “failure” of Washington’s Middle East policy and has said that the creation of an “independent, sovereign Palestinian state” is “necessary”.
The Russian leader made this comment in a meeting with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Sudani in Moscow a few days after Hamas launched a sudden and widespread attack on Israel.
Putin said, ‘I think many people will agree with me. This is a clear example of the failure of American politics in the Middle East.’
He said that it is necessary to implement the decisions of the United Nations Security Council regarding the establishment of an independent sovereign Palestinian state.
Putin said, “The United States has tried to establish a monopoly on regulating the conflict (conflict), but unfortunately, it is not engaged in finding an agreement that is acceptable to both sides.”
He said, ‘Western countries have not taken into account the basic interests of the Palestinian people.’
A day ago, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the creation of a Palestinian state is the “most reliable” solution for peace in Israel.
According to the Kremlin, preparations are being made for Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’s visit to Moscow before Hamas attacks Israel.
Moscow has expressed concern that a foreign player may enter the conflict after the US moves warships with its ally Israel.
