Phalewas Parbat, 2080, American citizen Anna Steer will receive the Kalibhakta Pant Folklore International Award 2080, established by the Kalibhakta-Krishna Pant Memorial Foundation.
It was announced that the award will be given to Anna in a program organized on the occasion of the 22nd Memorial Day of Kalibhakta Pant.
She has a Ph. D degree in the field of Nepali folk songs, studies, researches, publishing works in the field of folk talk and culture of Nepal, and has contributed to the present day by promoting and spreading folk talk and culture abroad. He is an associate professor in America and the director of South Asian Studies at the same university.
For the past six years, the Kalibhakta-Krishna Pant Memorial Foundation Nepal has been awarding the Kalibhakta Pant Nepali Folklore International Award. This award is given in Nepal with Rs 1,01,000.- and abroad with an amount of 1001 US dollars and a certificate. Before this, Satya Mohan Joshi (2075), Krishna Kandel – (2076), Tulsi Diwas – (2077), Prof. Dr. Chudamani Bandhu- (2078) and Kumar Basnet- (2079) are the first foreign citizens to receive this award.
On the occasion of Commemoration Day 2080, meritorious honors and scholarships established in various categories were also distributed.
