Former India all-rounder Manoj Prabhakar has resigned as Nepal men’s head coach as the team’s struggles continue in Cricket World Cup League 2.
Prabhakar took over from Pubudu Dassanayake in August, overseeing the team in a home series against UAE, as well as a tours to Kenya and Namibia, the latter a League 2 tri-series.
Nepal have suffered a turbulent 2023 Cricket World Cup qualification campaign, losing three of four matches in the last tri-series, with the fourth match washed out. Nepal sit in sixth spot in the League 2 standings, though have matches in hand on every side above them on the table, and are still alive in terms of World Cup qualification.
The Cricket Association of Nepal confirmed the news via social media.
