Kathmandu. More than 40 people have been killed in an attack by unknown gunmen on a bus carrying passengers in the tribal areas of Pakistan’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
16 more people were seriously injured in the gunman’s attack. It is said that gunmen attacked a group of vehicles carrying about 200 passengers passing through Kurram district, which is near the border with Afghanistan.
There has been a dispute between Shia and Sunni Muslim armed groups in the area for decades regarding the ownership of land. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the incident.
