Kathmandu. The government is going to appoint the Everest climber as a tourism promoter. The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation is going to appoint a tourism promoter on the occasion of the 71st International Mount Everest Day.
The tourism promotion branch of the ministry published a notice today on the occasion of the International Everest Day, asking the interested climbers who meet the criteria to submit an application to the tourism promotion branch within seven days as the program for the appointment of tourism promotion in places other than the designated country/province/city as per the Tourism Promotion Procedures, 2079 has been decided. is
According to Deputy Secretary of Tourism Promotion Branch, Anil Kirati, climbers who set a record by climbing Mt. Everest will be appointed as tourism promoters.
Deputy Secretary Kirati said that in addition to the 29 promoters of the countries and cities appointed earlier, Everest climbers will be appointed tourism promoters. The Ministry of Tourism (Ministerial Decision of 13th February 2080) appointed 29 people as tourist promoters to promote Nepal’s tourism in the world.
Tourism promoters must be Nepali or non-resident Nepali and foreign nationals who have completed 21 years of age. The criterion is that they should have been engaged in tourism-related business and profession for at least 7 years and gained fame or have goodwill and interest in Nepal and can promote tourism in Nepal and have gained fame at national or international level.
It is said in the notice that Everest climbers who help to spread Nepal’s natural, historical, cultural, archeological and biological heritage and sports and entertainment potential at the international level with volunteering spirit will be appointed as tourism promoters while promoting Nepal as an attractive, scenic and safe tourist destination in the world tourism market.
