MY PEN!
A Poem Composed by Monalisa Parida
When the heart is broken and heavy
When eyes overflow its reservoir
And mouth too parched to utter a word
My pen becomes my voice.
And vents my emotions
Transfers into devotion
I’m committed to write
To fulfill and cherish with greatest heights.
This made me to realize
And I use ink
With more zeal and appetite
So I became a poetess and I write.
I don’t live in dreams
I live in reality
This reality is what
Inspires me to go on and on.
Bio of the Poet: Monalisa Parida holds a Master’s in English literature and is author of several books in different genres including poetry and English Grammar. She lives in Odisha, India.
