Kathmandu. Nepal Civil Aviation Authority, the regulatory body of the country’s aviation sector, has removed the pilots of Nepal Airlines, Vijay Lama and Bhavna Pant from ‘active duty’.
The Authority has informed that they have been grounded for the duration of the investigation for violating the flight safety provisions at Tribhuvan International Airport. Nepal Airlines spokesperson Ramesh Paudel said that the directive to remove both pilots from the roster came from the authority. He is the captain who flies the ship ‘Airbus 330’.
