Nepal America International Film Festival’ will be held

Kathmandu – The ‘Nepal America International Film Festival’ has announced the name of the film that will be shown at the opening and closing ceremony. According to the organizers, the festival will begin with the screening of Naveen Subba’s ‘Gaon Aaeko Bato’ and will conclude with the screening of ‘The Red Suitcase’.

Under the direction of Fidel Devkota, ‘The Red Suitcase’, which was recently shown in Nepal, premiered in Venice. This film produced by Ramakrishna Pokharel shows the story of foreign employment and the pain it causes. This film, which received positive response from critics in Nepal, has actors Saugat Malla, Bipin Karki, Srishti Shrestha in the lead roles.
Similarly, in ‘Gaon Ingai Bato’, scheduled to be performed in Nepal on June 25, the story of the ups and downs in Maila’s family is included as the road comes to the village. This film, starring actors Dayahang Rai, Pashupati Rai and child actor Prasan Rai, has been screened in many festivals including the world famous film festival ‘Toronto’, ‘Busan’. Produced by Amod Rai, this film is based on the concept of community investment.
