Nepal PM Prachanda to take fifth round of floor test on July 12, after the key ally CPN UML withdrew its support

Kathmandu: Nepal PM Prachanda to take fifth round of floor test on July 12, after the key ally CPN UML withdrew its support.

CPN-UML withdrew its support to the government on July 3, and eight ministers resigned from their positions. The resignations submitted by the UML ministers have been accepted.

Similarly, the UML informed the Federal Parliament Secretariat about the withdrawal of its support to the government and assumption of the role of an opposition party in parliament.

On July 1, the Nepali Congress (NC) and the CPN-UML agreed to move forward with issues including government and constitutional amendment by forming a new political equation.

PM Dahal, who has fallen into minority, said that he will face parliament instead of resigning from his post.
