Nepal recognises contribution of Indian diaspora at Pravasi Bharatiya Divas

Pravasi Bharatiya Divas was celebrated in Kathmandu today to recognize the contributions of the Indian diaspora to India’s development and to strengthen the bond between India and its Nepali diaspora. The Indian Citizens Association of Nepal, in association with the Embassy of India, Kathmandu, celebrated the day by gathering at the embassy premises. Mr. Manoj Kandoi, President of the Indian Association of Nepal, elaborated on the contribution of the Indian diaspora to Nepal’s growth.

Navin Shrivastav, Ambassador of India to Nepal, stressed the importance of celebrating Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, allowing the Indian diaspora to connect to their roots.
Pratap Faujdar, a stand-up comedian from India, performed on the occasion. The Indian diaspora shared their experiences of staying in a foreign land and their views on Pravasi Bharatiya Divas.
