Kathmandu: Nepal recorded 553 new cases, 433 recoveries and zero death from COVID-19 on Sunday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 3,789 samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 451 PCR and 102 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.
There are currently 5,707 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 5,507 are in home isolation, 152 in institutional isolation, 45 in ICUs and 3 on ventilators. So far, 11,971 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 264 cases of COVID-19 on Sunday. Of them, 186 cases were recorded in Kathmandu, 24 in Bhaktapur and 54 in Lalitpur districts.
