Nepal records 456 new cases, 80 recoveries and zero death on Friday

Kathmandu: Nepal recorded 456 new cases of COVID-19 along with 80 recoveries and zero death from the virus on Friday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).

Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 249 cases of COVID-19 on Friday. Among them, 173 cases were recorded in Kathmandu, 24 in Bhaktapur and 52 in Lalitpur district.

As many as 3,838 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 384 PCR and 72 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the virus.

There are currently 2,841 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. So far, 11,954 people have died of the viral disease across the country.
