Kathmandu: Minister for Urban Development, Ram Kumari Jhakri and Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale have tendered their resignations from the post effective immediately citing pressure from their CPN-Unified Socialist Party. She was emotional during her press conference.
The two stepped down after their party, CPN (Unified Socialist), decided to send new faces to the cabinet. Unified Socialist, three weeks ago, decided to recall its ministers and recommended Jibanram Shrestha for the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Sher Bahadur Kunwar for the Minister for Labor and Employment, Metmani Chaudhary for the Ministry of Urban Development and Bhawani Khapung for the Ministry of Health and Population. Similarly, it sent the name of Hira KC for Minister of State for Health and Population.
