Kathmandu – Nepal has won the gold medal in the International Open Karate Championship in Maharashtra, India. Nepal has won its first gold medal in the age group kata performance.

Siddharth Rana, a Nepali player in the 10-year-old age group, won the gold medal. More than 100 players from various parts of India, including Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, are participating in the competition organized by the National Karate Association of India.

Under the competition, Sunday and Monday will be the final matches of different age and weight groups. 18 male and female athletes from Nepal are participating in the competition.
