Office of the Investment Board Nepal had an interaction with potential investors in India during the Pre-Nepal Investment Summit 2024 Industry Outreach Meet hosted by Embassy of Nepal in India.
Mr Sushil Bhatta, CEO IBN, Guest of Honour of the Event who gave detailed overview of Sectoral presentations, invited and engaged with potential investors/business leaders on opportunities and challenges and reiterated with data how India leads the Inbound Investment into Nepal and the potential growth from neighbouring five Indian states sharing open border with Nepal. On the occasion, video messages from Rt Hon Prime Minister Shri Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Hon Finance Minister Barshaman Pun were shared reinforcing commitment towards securing and growing the foreign investment in Nepal. Successful Indian Case Studies of FDI into Nepal were shared.
Ambassador Ranjit Rae, Ambassador Manjeev Puri, Ambassador Dr Shankar Sharma shared optimistic vision of the potential of economic partnership between India and Nepal. They also recollected how Indian and Nepali Political Leadership are in sync and walk the talk that Nepal leverages from Rising India, esp in Science and Technology and FINTECH. The session also stressed importance of MSME growth which is a natural growth segment given strong people to people ties.
