Prachanda held unity talks with 3 left parties

Kathmandu. Chairman of CPN Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda held unity talks with three leftist parties today.

Chairman Prachanda gave this information while addressing the unity declaration ceremony between the Integrated All Nepal Teachers’ Organization, which is close to the Maoist center, and the Nepal Teachers’ Society, which is close to NESP, in Kathmandu on Saturday.

However, he did not reveal which parties the talks were held with. According to sources, Prachanda has been taking initiatives for unity with the CPN United Socialists, CPN Biplava Group and Mahindra Rai Yadav-led NSP.

In the program, Chairman of the Maoist Center, Prachanda expressed his belief that the path to greater unity and polarization will now be widened, saying that many have come to a common conclusion that there is no alternative to left unity.

On another occasion, President Prachanda said that national consensus is necessary to complete the peace process of Nepal. In the past, there were proposals from the ‘right-left angle’ to conclude the peace process by the majority, but he insisted on consensus, he said, and said that the peace process in Nepal has reached its final stage.

Stating that there is a tendency to show that this is a problem of the Maoists and the Congress only, President Prachanda stressed that it should be resolved through national consensus.
