Prime Minister’s visit to China has created an investment environment in Nepal: Chandra Prasad Dhakal

Kathmandu. Chandra Prasad Dhakal, President of the Federation of Nepalese Industries and Commerce, has said that the visit of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to China has succeeded in conveying the message that Nepal has become a good environment for investment.
Speaking at an interaction program organized after the Prime Minister’s China visit on the implementation of the BRI, Chairman Dhakal said this. Chairman Dhakal, who is also a member of the visiting team, said that during the visit, it was a good opportunity for the private sector to inform Chinese businessmen about potential areas of investment, existing laws, and initiatives taken by the private sector.
He said that there was a good discussion between the two parties about the amendment of the traditional law and facilitation of foreign investment. He said that having a credit rating is good in itself, and that reforming it has also conveyed the message of a suitable opportunity for investment in Nepal.
Chairman Dhakal said, “During the visit, it was a good opportunity for the private sector to inform Chinese businessmen about potential areas of investment, existing laws, and initiatives taken by the private sector.” Having a credit rating is good in itself and improving it has conveyed the message of suitable opportunities for investment in Nepal. We have also requested for direct flights from major cities in China to Pokhara and Lumbini International Airports.’ Chairman Dhakal said that China’s declaration of 2025 as Visit Nepal Year is a good thing for tourism. He informed that the development of road, air, rail and communication network has been prioritized.
