Kathmandu: Nepal Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on Saturday said that his government is ready to defend its territories and called areas of Limpiyadhura, Lipulekh and Kalapani “Nepali”.
Speaking in the Parliament, Deuba said that his government has a firm understanding of it.
Issue of the border is sensitive and we understand that this can be resolved through dialogues and talks through diplomatic channels, he added.
Saying that Nepal has been adopting a non-aligned foreign policy, Dueba said that his government has always kept national interest in front and worked on the issues of mutual benefits when it comes to its neighbours and other countries.
“Acting on it, we have been making our efforts through diplomatic channels. This issue has been given proper space in the plans and policies introduced by the government,” he added.
