Rekha Gupta became the new Chief Minister of Delhi, who is Rekha?

Kathmandu– Rekha Gupta has become the new Delhi Chief Minister. She took oath as Chief Minister on Thursday. On Wednesday, she was elected as the leader of the Legislative Party of Bharatiya Janata Party.
The eyes of the whole world are on Delhi, the capital of India. In such a situation, analysts say that the Delhi crown will not be easy for Rekha Gupta. Rekha Gupta will face tough opposition in Delhi.
She will have to face challenges within and outside the party. Not only running an efficient administration in Delhi, but also fulfilling the promises made by the BJP before the elections is a challenge for Rekha.
The Aam Aadmi Party, which was born out of a movement and ruled for a decade, has come into opposition for the first time in Delhi, where it was born, so Rekha Gupta will have no small challenges.
Rekha Gupta is the fourth woman Chief Minister of Delhi. Previously, Sushma Swaraj, Sheila Dikshit and Atishi held this post.
In the recently concluded assembly elections, she defeated Aam Aadmi Party’s Bandana Kumari from Shalimar Bagh by about 30,000 votes.
After the elections, the names of some senior party leaders, including Pravesh Burma, Vijender Gupta, Ajay Mahawar and Rekha Gupta, were in the running for the post of Delhi Chief Minister. But finally Rekha Gupta won the race.
Rekha Gupta is originally from Haryana. She represents the Vaishya community. Senior journalist and political analyst Hemant Atri says, “BJP has challenged Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal’s politics with a single blow.” BJP has reversed this.
Haryana has given the country’s capital Delhi its third Chief Minister. The first was Sushma Swaraj. Second, Arvind Kejriwal and now Rekha Gupta from Nandgarh village in Julana area of Jind district has become the chief minister.
Although Pravesh Burma’s name was the most talked about for the Chief Minister of Delhi, Rekha Gupta came in at the last moment and won the race.
