Nepal and China Reopen 7 Traditional Border Trading Points

Kathmandu:  Reopening of Local Trade Points/ Local Passes between Nepal and China. Mr. Narayan Kaji Shrestha, DPM and Foreign Minister attended the joint reopening ceremony of all traditional border trading points between Nepal and China as the Chief Guest today afternoon held in Chentang Town, Shigatse City, Tibet Autonomous Region of China. Hon DPM and FM led a Nepali Delegation to Zhingtang ,Xizang of China for the program. All other International and bilateral land routes are already in operation.

 

Nepal FM Narayan Kaji Shrestha says this landmark decision to reopen all traditional border points with China will facilitate cross-border trade, foster economic ties, and further elevate the exemplary bilateral relations.

“Warm congratulations to the reopening of 7 traditional border trade points between China and Nepal today, and rest 7 trade points will be open soon when weather condition allow. That will greatly boost the cross-border trade, and improve local residents’ liverlihood. Connectivity brings prosperity. Connectivity brings happiness,” said Chinese Ambassador to Nepal.
