Saudi Arabia has imposed strict rules in Mecca-Medina, the largest religious center of Islam. The Ministry of Interior of Saudi Arabia has made a new rule to control the illegal activities of foreigners during the Hajj.
The Hajj will begin on June 2. The Ministry of Home Affairs has informed through X that they are going to crack down on foreigners who come for Haj without permission. According to the notice of the ministry, those who break the rules will be fined 10,000 Saudi Riyals, which is more than 356,000 Nepali Rupees and up to twice that amount.
The notification also states that those who arrive for Hajj without permission will be deported directly. Millions of people from different countries, including Nepal, have come to the Hajj pilgrimage, which is the main festival of Islam.
