South America tornadoes, death toll reaches 31

 

USA— At least 31 people have died in South America after a tornado hit the country. 12 of them were in Missouri, the BBC reported. The storm caused extensive damage in the southeastern states. Many vehicles were overturned and many homes were damaged.
More than 55 vehicles were involved in accidents in Kansas due to a dust storm and at least eight people were killed in the accident. According to Tracker Poweroutage, more than 2.4 million homes in six states, including Texas, Missouri and Illinois, were without power on Saturday afternoon.
Severe weather warnings have been issued for central Mississippi, eastern Louisiana and western Tennessee. In addition to these three states, flood warnings have also been issued for parts of Alabama and Arkansas due to the bad weather in the southeast. The National Weather Service said these flash floods could prove fatal. A high tornado watch was issued for central Mississippi earlier on Saturday morning. BBC
