Madrid: enlightED 2022, the global conference on education, technology and innovation, returns, after two hybrid editions, in a face-to-face format on November 16 and 17 at the Telefónica District in Madrid with internationally renowned speakers from the worlds of education, technology and innovation. This fifth edition will be supported by the Caixa Foundation, which joins Fundación Telefónica, IE University, and South Summit as organizers of the event.
The theme of enlightED 2022 will be Connecting Innovation. Education that transforms, and will take place over two days focusing on three areas: the digital skills of today and tomorrow, disruptive classrooms and advancing equity and inclusion through innovation.
The speakers this year will reflect on the challenges in education in the digital era. Among those confirmed are psychologist Susan David, author of the bestseller Emotional Agility; Monica Arés, head of immersive learning and education at META; Ousman Umar, founder of Nasco Feeding Minds, a victim of people traffickers who now promotes digital education in Ghana; mathematician Nuno Crato, mathematician and a former Portuguese education minister; Bisila Bokoko, founder of African Literacy Project, and among the ten most influential Spanish businesswomen in the United States, and Alok Kanojia, psychiatrist, president and co-founder of Healthy Gamer, which treats addictions to online activities such as video games.
More than two million viewers
Since its first edition, enlightED has become a global benchmark in the field of education, innovation and technology, accumulating more than two million spectators from 46 countries and 300 international speakers.
This year’s event also includes panels on computational thinking and artificial intelligence applied to education, digital competencies for teachers, as well as on the opportunities metaverse can offer in learning. It will also host a hackathon based on the disruptive methodology of 42, the Fundación Telefónica’s Spanish programming campus.
The enlightED program will continue with afternoon lectures and discussions from Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, Peru, Ecuador, Venezuela and Uruguay.
