Kathmandu. India has reached the finals of the ICC T20 World Cup. India reached the final after defeating former champions England by 68 runs in the match held in Guyana on Thursday night. India will now play South Africa for the title. The title match will be held on Saturday.
Chasing the target of 172 runs given by India, England could score only 103 runs in 16 overs in 4 balls. For England, Harry Brook scored 25, captain Jace Butler scored 23, Jafra Archer scored 21 and Liam Livingstone scored 11.
India’s Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav took 3-3 each and Jasprit Bumrah took 2 wickets.
Before that, India, who were invited to bat first after losing, lost 7 wickets in the scheduled 20 overs and scored 171 runs. For India, captain Rahit Sharma scored 57, Suryakumar Yadav scored 47, Hardik Pandey scored 23, Ravindra Jadeja scored 17 not out and Akshar Patel scored 10 runs.
England’s Chris Jordan took 3 wickets and Rhys Topley, Jofra Archer, Sam Karan and Adil Rashid took 1 wicket each.
