The Nepali Embassy celebrated the Buddha Jayanti in China

 

Kathmandu. Nepalese Embassy in China has celebrated 2568th Buddha Jayanti. Ambassadors, diplomats, Chinese citizens from various organizations, media persons from the Nepali community living in China were present in the program organized at the embassy on the occasion of Buddha Jayanti, the Nepali Embassy said.

Nepali Ambassador Bishnupukar Shrestha said that Buddha’s teachings will inspire the entire human race to live a civilized, compassionate, moral and meaningful life. Stating that the long-standing relationship between the two countries contained in the principle of Panchsheel is a symbol of Buddhist spirituality, he opined that Buddha’s teachings would be meaningful to face the global challenges the world is facing.

The vice president of the Buddhist Association of China, monk Chang Zhang, and the abbot of Beijing Ligunang Temple highlighted the close relationship between Nepal and the people of China.

They expressed their expectation of continuous support for peace and prosperity for the nation and the world community. Buddhist monks prayed to Lord Buddha for world peace and harmony.
