The Paris Olympics ends today, China and the United States compete for medals

Kathmandu: The Paris Olympics 2024 will end today after 16 days of inauguration and about three weeks

The closing ceremony of the 33rd edition of the Olympics, which will be held at the Stade de France, will begin at 1:45 pm Nepali time.

Unlike the opening ceremony held on the Seine River, the Olympic closing ceremony will be held indoors at the Stade de France with 80,000 spectators. The closing ceremony will celebrate the athletes’ achievements and the success of the host city, Paris.
The Olympic flame will be officially extinguished during the ceremony and the Olympic flag will be handed over to the Los Angeles 2028 Organizing Committee.

As the final day of the tournament continues, China is at the top of the table so far. China has won 90 medals so far, including 39 gold, 27 silver and 24 bronze.

The United States has won a total of 122 medals so far, including 38 gold, 42 silver and 42 bronze. In third place, Australia won a total of 50 medals, including 18 gold, 18 silver and 18 bronze medals.

Japan, which has climbed to the fourth place in the medal table, has won a total of 43 medals including 18 gold, 13 silver and 13 bronze. France is in fifth place after winning 16 gold, 24 silver and 22 bronze medals.

Host France has won a total of 62 times with 14 golds. South Korea, Netherlands and Germany are ranked seventh, eighth, and ninth respectively.

Italy has dropped one place to 10th place. Ninety-one of the 206 participating countries have won at least one medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics to date.
There will be competition for 13 more gold medals today under the Olympics.
