The Rainbow Relationship, A Poem by Rachana Sunar

The Rainbow Relationship

A Poem by Rachana Sunar

Well, there is a saying, there is No gain without pain

YES! There is the beauty of Rainbow, after bad rain

If you feel like being stuck, you are probably in a Rainbow relationship

Weather, its ‘Heaven’ or ‘Hell’ hard to declare

Wait! What? Rainbow relation? Yeah let me explain

Some relationships are just like a Rainbow

Full of colors, all mixed of, as magical show

Blended emotions of love-Hate, Trust-Betray or Do-Die

You cannot see the person’s real color, hard to identify

Two coin sides of the brain: imagination and memory

Confused enough to hold or leave, so you live in a misery

SO called the rainbow relationships are illusionary

When you clearly see the sharp thorn on your way

You will not be stupid to step on it barefoot

While, the path is full of roses, thorn underneath

The heart full of trust in love and bleeding feet beneath

With sparkle of love in the eyes, you keep hoping

Until the moment, your feet start shaking

Neither you can cross all, nor can you get back

With All the traumas, emotional damages and heart attack

Then your partner show up with bandage for healing

Instantly you change your mind for different feelings

All your complains and insecurities are just gone

You feel loved again, compassionate and fun

They could have sweep up all the thorn away

Instead of playing the bandage game

For the rainbow love, you burn and bury your fame

You fool yourself from time to time

Blindly possessing someone and owning as mine

However, how beautiful the sky looks for a while

The rainbow relation, doesn’t last for long.
