Kathmandu. A third five-star hotel is going to be built in Jhapa. Hotel Royal Recreation Nepal is going to build a hotel with an investment of 1 billion in Pathibhara Toll located in Mechinagar Municipality-14 of Jhapa. The five-star hotel with a total of 158 rooms and 300 beds has submitted the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report to the Ministry of Forests and Environment. According to the report, the hotel The company has informed that there will be facilities like banquet hall, conference hall, meeting hall, jacuzzi, spa, steam, sauna, massage, fitness center and swimming pool along with guest rooms of different levels. This will be the third five-star hotel in Jhapa.

The report mentions that the new hotel is being built on vacant land and it will not affect the national park, wildlife reserve, hunting reserve and other sensitive forest areas. The hotel will be built 3.1 km south-east of Dhulabari Chowk. It is located 9 km west of the Nepal-India border (Kankadvitta).
The hotel to be built on 7 bigha and 1 katha land will have a total ground coverage of 8,223 square meters. Which is 17 percent of the total land. The hotel has proposed to construct the structure by maintaining 43 percent open area, 10 percent parking and 30 percent green area. The construction period of the hotel is estimated to be three years. The proposed hotel building will have seven floors. Out of which, it is proposed to build a guest room from the third floor.
The company aims to operate the hotel as a five-star deluxe. According to the company, the hotel is going to be built keeping in mind the standards of classification of hotels 2077.
It is said that the project will provide employment to 60 people daily during the construction phase and a total of 120 people will be directly employed during operation. The hotel can park 300 two-wheelers and 170 four-wheelers.
This hotel, located at a distance of 9 km from the Nepal-India border, said that it is going to build a structure targeting Indian tourists. Apart from this, the hotel aims to attract tourists from Bangladesh and Bhutan. Due to the proximity of Kanyam and Sriantu in Elam from the proposed hotel site, the company says that domestic tourists will also be the main guests of the hotel. said. The company said that this will create direct-indirect jobs for the local people and also help to raise their standard of living.
